MISSION
LKL is a movement rooted in the belief that housing is more than a place to live — it is the foundation for security, dignity and opportunity. Our mission is to educate and empower renters and landlords with real-world tools, resources and support to build lasting relationships based on trust, fairness and mutual respect. We work to transform housing from a system of conflict and instability into one of partnership and community power.
PURPOSE
Our purpose is to break cycles of eviction, displacement, and housing insecurity by creating spaces where renters and landlords stand together — not against each other — to create safe, affordable, and permanent homes. We believe that when people are equipped with knowledge and treated with respect, stronger neighborhoods are built, families are stabilized, and entire communities rise. Through education, advocacy, and collective action, LKL fights for a future where every person has access to a stable home and a voice in shaping the communities they call home.
